Mohamed Mustafa (Mogadishu, Somalia)

Education is the gift that keeps on giving. Today we bring you some words of wisdom from Mohamed Mustafa, a medical student in Mogadishu who believes that education is the key to developing and rebuilding societies. Mohamed is currently enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at Simad University and Dr. Sumait Hospital in Mogadishu.

When asked what education means to him, Mohamed told us: ⠀ "Educations means to me a lot; it means the future to me. I believe education is the knowledge of life; it gives us the potential to know and understand more about life. It takes a great part in developing our lives. Education tells us what we know and what we do not know, what problems are there and how we deal with them. Education means to me a source of change, it changes people’s character, way of perception, as well as attitude." ⠀ We couldn't agree more! Mohamed, we wish you the best with your studies and thank you for dedicating your life to healing others!
